We started out with 2 staff members participating in this program. In the end, I ended up the only one fully participating and completing the entire program. In an effort to increase the technology skill level among the staff at our library, I would, perhaps implement this program and adapt it so that:
- It would provide a list of at least 35-50 Web 2.0 'things' from which they could choose 20 things to practice/experience and write about in their blog, which would be Thing 1, of course.
- For Thing 22, participants would have to either write about which 'thing' was their favorite and why, or write about a completely different Web 2.0 'thing' they discovered on their own.
- The program would include the option to either present one of their 'things' to others during one of our monthly staff meetings or send an email to all library staff about their experience with one of the 'things'. This will hopefully bring exposure and awareness to those staff members that either chose not to participate and perhaps spark some interest and to those who only work part-time and don't have enough time at a workstation to participate and practice.
