I must admit that I enjoyed participating in this project much more that I'd initially anticipated. My favorite 'thing' was Flickr and my least favorite was LibWorm. As far as the learning curve is concerned, none of the 'things' were technically challenging. After all, isn't that the reason Web 2.0 exists? To allow those who are not technically savvy the opportunity to create and participate. At the end of each 'thing', the most challenging thing for me was figuring out what I wanted to say in each of my blog posts. Awareness of the existence of something is not always enough. Actually 'playing' with many of these Web 2.0 'things' has increased my knowledge of how they work and the magnitude and variety of ways in which they are being used by other librarians and libraries. In an effort to incorporate more Web 2.0 into our library, I have presented to my supervisor the idea of creating a wiki to list recommended and commonly used websites to use either as an internal resource or to link as part of our website.
