Twitter (Thing 12)

For me, personally, I don't see where I would find much use for Twitter. There's only 24 hours in a day and there's only so much talking, texting, and chatting I care to do within that time period. It, like Facebook, is just another form of instant messaging. I've never been one of the ones to always jump on and be a part of every new technological band wagon that passes by. I usually like to wait and see if a tool/service is going to have some sort of longevity before dedicating any time to it. Yes, Twitter is hot now, but so was MySpace a mere 2 1/2 to 3 years ago before Facebook started stealing some of its spotlight. I would not choose to use Twitter as a tool to communicate with fellow coworkers and colleagues.

As I mentioned in one of my first posts, I hear about Twitter every day when I watch the Weather Channel and they ask for viewers to "tweet" them about this, that, or the other.
